connected with nature – bring natu tables into your space, connect with nature, and Discover the peak of modern design,
Everything starts with the acquisition of old oak logs from our Slavonian forests, known as Quercus Robur subspec. Slavonica. Some logs are up to 250 years old. They were cut down due to their age and to give room for new young oak seedlings to grow and spread their crowns, building a new healthy forest.
The raw material, like wood from old oaks, is very limited and carefully collected over the years. Because of their durability, strength and resistance to rain, wind and sun, the logs are stored in a warehouse for several years before being processed. In our final production, we shape oak wood into a design crafted through close collaboration with our customers.
When it comes to our OZE collection, each table is made from a single oak log, which requires up to a year – and sometimes even three years – of drying.
On the other hand, for flat surfaces like those in our SORREL collection, with metal legs sourced from a Croatian manufacturer, the flat oak surfaces are placed in dryers and require up to 180 days of drying. It all depends on the model and product, but one OZE table takes about three months of work to process. The amount of produced tables depends on the available amount of logs, and the production itself is done exclusively according to order.
Creating one-piece wooden tables from Oak is a highly skilled craft that combines traditional woodworking techniques with a deep understanding of the wood’s characteristics.
Oak is NATUā€™s top choice for our furniture due to its durability, attractive grain patterns, and timeless appeal. You can see the entire process of transforming oak into a single-piece wooden table in the overview below.
Once the production process is completed, your table is ready to be part of your favorite space.
